This straightforward and strikingly designed piece of equipment can be operated using the supplied remote control, but also via RS-232C or IP. On Screen Displays have never been ideal, because they can spoil the picture. That is why the DN-500BD features a so-called Hiding Mode, in which optical status updates can be hidden.
There is also a repeat mode that plays videos in a loop. This is useful at trade fairs, in waiting rooms, at open days and similar occasions. To prevent unauthorized persons from tampering with the remote control, there is a remote lock (and also a security lock for the controls).
