It enables you to shoot photos and video from inside your car in various applications. A popular use is capturing wildlife in a safari or similar setting without having to get out of the car. It can also be used to slowly drive by your subject in film or commercial applications.

The mount is secured to windows and other surfaces with a clamp range up to 0.5" thick, and it also provides a lip rest for window-to-door stabilization.
