This design utilizes two independent PTT switches to ensure the push-to-talk (PTT) button is engaged no matter where the button is being pressed. The push to talk is rubberized and large enough to allow for use with gloves. The Quick Disconnect (QD) adapter's "push-pull" design allows for easy attachment and quick release.
The wired surveillance microphone can be released from adapter without disconnecting adapter from portable radio or pack set.
