Enthusiasts of engines and models have been asking us for years for a complex engine model, and here it is: the Ugears V8 Engine! The V8 Engine is a 1:6 scale model that can be powered either by an electric motor or at the push of a button, allowing you to observe the hypnotic operation of this iconic internal combustion engine. The model fully reproduces the main mechanisms of a real V8, including eight cylinders with cyclically moving pistons, where two cylinders "fire" every 90 degrees of crankshaft rotation, 16 spring-loaded valves open and close as they are pushed by the heads of the rotating camshafts, and the crankcase and control components connected by a timing chain and a throttle at the intake manifold. This model is powered by an electric motor that resembles a generator.

A serpentine belt connects the crankshaft pulley to various pulleys representing engine accessories such as the air conditioning compressor, alternator, power steering pump, and water pump. Connect the model to a power source via a USB-C cable, then set the on/off switch to "On" to see your engine come to life, or manually set the V8 engine in motion by turning the knob under the on/off switch.
